You must read these before joining
1: You are allowed to have as many characters as you please, but PLEASE be active, or we will ask you to give up some character. We like to keep the gender even, so for every 2 girls, you must have 2 boys. Sorry, thats how it goes, we dont want more females then males, and have the males start getting attacked,
2: Your images may not stretch out the page, if they do, we will have to ask you to get a new one or resize them. Avatars may be no bigger than 100x100 and signatures no bigger than 600 x 400. If you have a problem with that PM an admin and we will see what we can do.
3: When roleplaying, sex is allowed. BUT it is only allowable if you do the following; If you know it is going to be a sexual thread, please have an R or X in the name of the thread. If it turns into one, the person who created the thread can go back to the opening post and change the title of the thread from there. Please also omit any incredibly explicit words.
4: We will not tolerate illiterate roleplayers. We understand if you're having an off day or writer's block, but to have an off day everyday is simply unaccepted. Each post must be at least 5 sentances, if you continue to post one liners one of the admins will have a word with you.
5: If you join this site and have a character, or multiple ones, you must be active. This means being active with all the character's you own as well. If something comes up (grounding, family issues, school work, etc.) you must let us know on the Departure board which is located in the OOC chat and you will not be penalized for your absence.
6: We do not accept godmodeling on this website, as I am sure no other Rpg sites accept it as well. If you do not know what the term means then ask someone or look it up.
7: When one roleplays, they must use third person at all times. Good Example : "Zoey stepped out onto the cold, wet grass as she looked about. Spotting her boyfriend, she smiled as she stepped up behind him and whispered in his ear, "I love you, babe." Bad Example : "Zoey smiles as she steps out onto the cold wet grass and looks around. She sees her boyfriend and goes up behind him and whispers in his ear, "I love you, babe." I'm sure anyone can agree that people using present tense during roleplaying is very agitating, so please refrain yourselves from doing so.
8: Drama is allright, who doesn't love some part of the time, right? But do not take it out of proportion. For example, do not have your mother die, your sister have a miscarriage, and yourself get in a car crash and lose a leg, all in one day. That is just ridiculous and you will not be taken seriously.
9: When you are talking in the cbox, please don't be rude. Keep vulgar comments to yourself, we wish to not make anyone uncomfortable there. If any admins get complaints, you will be warned. If you decide to be so ignorant that you continue your foolishness, your IP address will be banned from the cbox.
10: There must be a different account for EVERY character you own. If you accidently post an app for a new character on an existing character's account, please verify the name of the account for your new character.
11: PLEASE watch your spelling! There is a spell check button on the posting page, after all. We understand if you mispell a word here or there, but to constantly mispell the simplest of words, having 5 errors in every post, is ridiculous.
12: Due to the nature of this website (Unruled Academy school with cliques? Enough explanation right there) We ask that you are at least 13 years of age or above. If however you are younger, you must prove to us that you are mature enough to handle this with a d*mn good application.
13: You may use profanity in your roleplays, but please do not go overly excessive with it. A few uncensored words here and there is fine, but If it is in your character's nature to cuss like a sailor, you will be asked to at least censor the words with a *
14: You MAY have more than one roleplay going on at once. But I do NOT want to see this; Roleplay A : Your character is hanging out with someone. Roleplay B : Your character meets someone knew or is asked if they have a boyfriend/girlfriend and your character tells them no/yes. Roleplay A : Your character is asked out or broken up with. Roleplay B : Your character magically is taken or single again.
Things do NOT happen like that in real life, so do not make it happen in roleplays. If you still don't understand this concept please feel free to PM an admin and they will explain it to you further.
15: Sorry but due to the amount of Juniors and Seniors already accepted, no more Juniors or Seniors will be accepted unless they posted their application BEFORE November 19th. The only exception is if they are playing family and the original family member's application was accepted before the rule went into play.
And remember, kids; if a particular character shows hatred or dislike towards a character of yours, please remember that it is JUST IN THE ROLEPLAY. Any insults, gestures, fights, etc. that are said in the roleplay stay in the roleplay. We will not tolerate childish games considering the signs of dislike are not in your actual direction, but in your character's, there IS a difference.
*Note: Every few months, we will have an admin do a 'spring cleaning' of the website. This means all Dead Threads will be disposed of or moved into a Dead Thread sub-board. All characters that are not active for about two months and have NO exscuse for said absence will no longer have a character. If you speak with the admin and have a good reason for your disappearance, you might obtain your character again.*
And the biggest thing to remember is, please have fun and enjoy yourselves! The point of roleplaying is to bring on new experiances and advance your writing ability as well as have fun!
